EU-Slovenia Subcommittee Examines Inflation and Bank Privatisation
Brussels, 4 June - Slovenia's struggle to curb inflation and the ongoing privatisation of Slovene banks topped the agenda of a two-day meeting of the EU-Slovenia subcommittee on finance and economic issues, according to head of the Slovene delegation Janez Sustersic, who said Tuesday that the European side has welcomed Slovenia's efforts to tackle inflation pressures, and got informed about the bank privatisation, although it will not take a stance on the issue until the autumn, when the report on Slovenia's progress is to be published.
