Victims of Post-WWII Killings Remembered at Traditional Ceremony

Końćevska Reka, 9 June - A commemoration held in memory of those killed by communists after WWII took place on Sunday at a mass burial ground in the woods of Kocevski Rog, southern Slovenia. The traditional ceremony, which this year despite the rain attracted nearly 3,000 people, began with a mass celebrated by Auxiliary Archbishop of Ljubljana Andrej Glavan. The keynote speaker was MP Joze Bernik of the opposition New Slovenia (NSi), who said that despite government's promises the mass graves remain unmarked.
