STA Coverage on Thursday, 13 June

Ljubljana, 12 June - The STA English service will cover the following events on Thursday, 13 June:

STRASBOURG - The European Parliament is to wrap up its session at which it is scheduled to discuss this year's first reports on the progress made by EU applicant countries, among them Slovenia, on the path to EU membership.

LJUBLJANA - The Slovene government is to hold its regular weekly cabinet session, at which it is scheduled to discuss the bill on the restructuring of the Slovene Railways, among other things.

LJUBLJANA/BRDO PRI KRANJU - Bulgarian Prime Minister Simeon Saxe Coburg Gotha is to pay a one-day working visit to Slovenia on Thursday upon the invitation of Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek. The Bulgarian prime minister is also to meet with Slovene President Milan Kucan and Speaker of Parliament Borut Pahor. Talks are expected to focus on EU and NATO enlargement.

LJUBLJANA/PIRAN/BRDO PRI KRANJU - Director General of UNESCO Koichi Matsuura is to pay an official visit to Slovenia at the invitation of Slovene Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek. The guest is also due to meet with a number of top-level Slovene officials, including Slovene President Milan Kucan and several ministers.
