Austria and Slovenia Should Resume Talks on Lipizzaner Genealogy Records, Ministry Says
Ljubljana, 13 June - The Slovene government has not been notified of any final decision taken by the EU on who would keep the genealogy records for the Lipizzaner horses, the Slovene Agriculture Ministry responded Thursday to an article published in the daily Dnevnik, which claims that Austria was given the authorisation to keep the genealogy records for the Lipizzaner within the EU. Current information indicate that it was only Austria and Italy who struck a bilateral deal, which however the EU has not recognised, the ministry added.
