LDS Expected to Decide on PM Drnovsek's Successor at the End of June

Ljubljana, 14 June - The executive committee of the Liberal Democracy (LDS) was acquainted and subsequently also endorsed the decision of party president and incumbent Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek to run for president in this autumn's elections and thus step down from the post of prime minister in September. The LDS executive council thus announced that it would decide on who should succeed Drnovsek at the helm of the Slovene government in the latter half of June, the chairman of the LDS council Gregor Golobic said following Friday's session.
