Slovene Diplomatic Missions Abroad Mark National Day

Sarajevo/Trieste, 21 June - Slovene Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina has organized a reception ahead of National Day, celebrated on 25 June when 11 years ago Slovenia declared its independence. Some 500 guests from political, cultural and other circles were invited to the celebration. A similar reception was given by Slovene Consul General Jadranka Sturm Kocjan in Trieste, Italy, which was also attended by mayors of Trieste and Gorizia, as well as high representatives of the Slovene minority in Italy. "The concern about the Slovene minority in Italy is one of the priorities of Slovenia's foreign policy and we are monitoring the situation of the ethnic Slovenes carefully," said Sturm Kocjan on the occasion.
