Ljubljana to Finally Get Youth Hostel

Ljubljana, 27 June - Ljubljana Mayor Vika Potocnik and representatives of the Students' Organisation of the Ljubljana University have laid a foundation stone for the construction of the first youth hostel in the Slovene capital. The SIT 240 million (EUR 1.1 million) project will see the transformation of an old military prison, located at the Metelkova counter-culture centre, into a hostel with over 80 beds. The hostel is expected to accommodate its first young travellers next spring.
