NEK Accord Will Not Harm Gov't Coalition, SLS and SDS Are Convinced

Ljubljana, 28 June - While Croatian legislators have spent the better part of Friday debating whether or not to ratify the Slovene-Croatian accord on the Krsko N-plant (NEK), two Slovene parties, the coalition SLS and the opposition SDS, said that the NEK agreement does not pose a threat to the government coalition, although SLS legislators provided some of the 31 signatures that send the accord to Constitutional Court and prevented the Slovene parliament from taking a vote on it in time. However even ratification in Croatia is not going smoothly either, and Prime Minister Ivica Racan wondered whether it is still possible to work in the government coalition at all.
