Agriculture Ministry Cuts Exports Subsidies for Milk and Dairy Products

Ljubljana, 30 June - Slovene export subsidies for milk and dairy products are to be lower by 20 percent on average from Monday on, as the Slovene Agriculture Ministry implements a measure aimed at harmonising export aid to that of EU standards. However, this move has caused a stir among Slovene dairies, who are warning that they will find it even harder to compete on foreign markets, which are already oversupplied.
