Payment Agency Retires, Hands Transactions to Commercial Banks
Ljubljana, 1 July - The Slovene Agency for Payment Transactions (APP) was sent into retirement after forty years of operation, thus transferring the burden of payment transactions to commercial banks and savings banks from Monday onwards. The move wraps up a six year-long reform process, which has seen some 42,464 company accounts transfered gradually from the APP to banks.
