Mladina Publishes Sequel on Foreign Ministry's Analyses on Anti-NATO Articles

Ljubljana, 1 July - The Slovene weekly Mladina in Monday's issue published a sequel to last week's article on analyses commissioned by the Foreign Ministry about media reporting on Slovenia's efforts to join NATO. According to the weekly, the analyses carried out by diplomatic interns were not done correctly, as caricatures making fun of the foreign ministry or completely neutral information were labelled as "anti-NATO" articles as well. The ministry, meanwhile, responded to public debates on Slovenia's NATO membership, stressing that nobody, and the ministry not in the least, is obstructing political groups and individuals that oppose NATO.
