NATO Support Drops, EU Popularity Slightly Up, Shows Regular Monthly Poll

Ljubljana, 2 July - NATO support in Slovenia dropped again to 39.6% from the 43.6% in May, showed a regular monthly poll, the Politbarometer, carried out by the Centre for Public Opinion Research at the Ljubljana Faculty of Social Sciences. If the referendum on Slovenia's NATO membership were held this Sunday, 38.2% of those polled would vote against it, which is more than the 35.8% in May. More than half, 55.4%, (55.1% in May) would vote for EU accession, while 26.8% would vote against it.
