Dalai Lama to Arrive on First Visit to Slovenia Tomorrow

Ljubljana, 3 July - The Dalai Lama is to visit Slovenia between 4 and 6 July upon the invitation of the University of Ljubljana, which is to confer upon him the title of honorary senator. During his three-day visit the Tibetan spiritual leader and 1989 Nobel Peace Prize winner is to give two lectures, including one on the power of compassion at Ljubljana's central park. Despite the Chinese Embassy's official protest against the visit, the Dalai Lama is expected to meet with Slovenia's top officials for private meetings.
