Ratification of NEK Accord No Longer Sufficient, Says PM Drnovsek
Ljubljana, 3 July - "The ratification is no longer sufficient, it needs to be harmonised and corrected, which is possible only if there is will and readiness on both sides," said Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek Wednesday in response to Croatia's ratification of the agreement on the jointly-owned Krsko Nuclear Power Plant (NEK). He said that even the Croatian parliament did not manage to ratify the accord by the set deadline, 1 July, therefore the provisions bound to that date have to be changed in case Slovene parliament ratifies it as well.
