King Juan Carlos and PM Drnovsek Hope for Closer Co-Operation

Ljubljana, 4 July - Slovene PM Janez Drnovsek told Spanish King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia when he met with them on Thursday that he is convinced that their official visit to Slovenia is a reflection of the excellent relations between Slovenia and Spain. He believes it would boost bilateral co-operation. The king was hopeful that the fact he brought a business delegation with him, will further bilateral economic co-operation. He reiterated Spain's support for Slovenia in joining the EU and NATO and said that Slovenia has the best spot in lining up for EU membership, while its membership in NATO would contribute greatly to better stability in Europe.
