Yugoslav Succession Negotiations on Foreign Exchange Deposits Deadlocked
Basel, 5 July - The fourth round of negotiations between the former Yugoslav republics on reaching an agreement over the division of guarantees for foreign exchange savings deposits from the time of former Yugoslavia, ended in deadlock on Friday, as none of the five successor states agreed to the compromise proposed by the mediator from the Basel-based Bank for International Settlements (BIS).
