Slovene Gov't Adopts Changes to Trading Act; Shops Can Only be Open Six Days a Week

Ljubljana, 5 July - Changes to the trading act which limit shop opening hours to six days in the week and thus represent a compromise between the demands voiced by trade unions of the trading sector and those of the Slovene Chamber of Commerce, were adopted by the Slovene government on Friday. The changes are expected to be discussed by the parliament in fast-track parliamentary procedure.
