Review of the Slovene Economy from 29 June through 5 July
Ljubljana, 7 July - Croatia managed to ratify the bilateral agreement on the jointly-constructed Nuclear Power Plant Krsko (NEK) that it had signed with Slovenia. The ratification came two days after the set deadline and at the cost of a government crisis, which ended with the resignation of Prime Minister Ivica Racan. The agreement remained stuck at the Constitutional Court in Slovenia, for which reason Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek also scolded the junior ruling coalition partner, the SLS, which had backed the initiative to send the agreement to the Constitutional Court.
