Presidential Candidate Brezigar to Focus on Corruption in Election Campaign
Ljubljana, 8 July - Former State Prosecutor General Barbara Brezigar, who announced that she would run for the presidency this autumn, thinks that the civil society and ombudsman should play a bigger role in fighting corruption. As Brezigar told a press conference on Monday, corruption is also a political issue because its spread could eventually bring about the disintegration of society. She promised to base her election campaign on the rule of law, equality before the law and prosperity.
