NGO Files Charges against Former and Incumbent Interior Ministers and Head of Police

Ljubljana, 8 July - The Helsinki Monitor of Slovenia (HMS), a human rights institution, filed charges against Interior Minister Rado Bohinc, chief of police Marko Pogorevc and former Interior Minister Igor Bavcar at the Ljubljana District State Prosecution because of the issue of the "erased". According to HMS, the Interior Ministry and the police have done nothing in the past eight years to alleviate the situation of many people who were erased from the permanent residency registry in 1992.
