Former Health Minister Wishes to Become Mayor of Ljubljana

Ljubljana, 9 July - Former Health Minister Andrej Brucan announced on Tuesday that he would run for mayor of Ljubljana at the local elections that are to be held this autumn. Brucan, the deputy president of the opposition Social Democrats (SDS), also called other political parties who "truly care for the future of Ljubljana" to unite and form an alliance that would be a "realistic alternative to the ruling coalition of the Liberal Democracy (LDS) and the United List (ZLSD)."
