Zavarovalnica Tilia Insurer Cancels a Merger with Zavarovalnica Maribor

Novo Mesto, 10 July - Shareholders of the Slovene insurance company Zavarovalnica Tilia on Wednesday retracted their decision to strike a merger deal with another Slovene insurer Zavarovalnica Maribor, arguing that the merger conditions, agreed upon in December 2000, have changed since the two firms have undergone capital injection. The shareholders of Zavarovalnica Maribor, Slovenia's third largest insurer, already decided to cancel the contract back in April.
