President Kucan Speaks about Irreversible EU Enlargement in Address to Moldovan MPs

Chisinau, 11 July - Slovene President Milan Kucan on Thursday addressed MPs in the Moldovan parliament, drawing attention to the importance of EU and NATO enlargement in a globalised world in order to overcome old barriers in the former politically divided Europe by enforcing political, cultural, spiritual and economic polycentrism. This is what makes EU enlargement an irreversible process, so there should be enough room in the EU for all European countries that wish to join it, said Kucan, who is today concluding his two-day official visit to Moldova.
