Mayors of Trieste Municipalities Address Top Officials Over Bilingual IDs
Trieste, 11 July - Mayors of three municipalities populated by the Slovene minority in the Italian province of Trieste, in which a compulsory administration has been appointed by the Trieste prefect following the mayors's refusal to comply with a decree to issue identity cards in the Italian language only, addressed the matter in a letter on Wednesday to Italy's and Slovenia's top officials.
