Slovene Minority Appeals to Italian State Council about Monolingual IDs
Trieste, 11 July - The Slovene Community (SSk), a party of ethnic Slovenes in Italy, filed an appeal at the Italian state council, a higher administrative court, against the decree of the Italian Interior Ministry which allows four Trieste municipalities to issue Italian identity cards apart from the bilingual, Italian-Slovene IDs, which have been the standard ever since WWII, reported Radio Trieste A on Thursday.
