SLS President Thinks PM Should Resign if He Is not Elected President
Ljubljana, 12 July - Slovene People's Party (SLS) president and Agriculture Minister Franci But would like to see more regular meetings between the government coalition parties, as he believes that the coalition has had too little contact recently. According to the junior coalition party leader, these meeting should take place at least once a month in order to ensure a partnership-like relationship within the coalition. Minister But also commented Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek's intention to stay in office until the end of the upcoming presidential elections. Minister But told Friday's press conference that he finds such a decision sensible in the light of Slovenia's EU accession, but expects Drnovsek to resign as PM if he is not elected president.
