A Working Group to Produce a List of Places for Bilingual Place Signs in Carinthia

Vienna, 12 July - A meeting discussing the issue of bilingual topography in the Austrian province of Carinthia in Vienna on Friday decided that a working group would be composed to draw up by the end of August a list of towns and villages in which German-Slovene place signs are to be put up. The list is to reflect census data and the number of Slovene representatives in cultural, political, economic and education institutions. Represented in the group will the Federal Chancellor's Office, the province of Carinthia, Slovene ethnic minority and patriotic organisations with a member each.
