LJUBLJANA - A two-day session of the committee of the Socialist International for Central and Eastern Europe is to come to an end. The participants are to adopt a common declaration and give a press conference for the public at 1:30 PM.

LUDRANSKI VRH - Slovene state officials are to gather at noon at the 12th traditional event at the site of the oldest linden tree in Slovenia in northern Slovenia. PM Janez Drnovsek is to address the gathering, which is also to be attended by FM Dimitrij Rupel, Interior Minister Rado Bohinc, Economics Minister Tea Petrin, Justice Minister Ivan Bizjak, Labour Minister Vlado Dimovski and Environment Minister Janez Kopac. After the ceremony, politicians and ordinary citizens are to compete in sports and other games. Linden tree is one of the symbols of Slovenia, which gained independence in 1991.
