Schedule of Events from 15 to 20 July

Ljubljana, 14 July - Schedule of events in the week from 15 to 20 July:

MONDAY, 15 July
LJUBLJANA - Slovene Agriculture Minister Franci But is to present Slovenia's standpoint about the proposed EU common agriculture reform policy and other current topics of Slovenia's agriculture.
LJUBLJANA - The Slovene council for permanent development is to convene to discuss Slovenia's preparations for the world summit on permanent development in Johannesburg between 26 August and 4 September.
LJUBLJANA - Slovene Ombudsman Matjaz Hanzek is to hand over his 2001 report to Slovene Speaker of Parliament Borut Pahor. The contents of the report will be presented at a press conference.

TUESDAY, 16 July
MADRID - Slovene Europe Minister Janez Potocnik is to pay a two-day visit to Spain as part of his tour of EU member states.
LJUBLJANA - Slovene Ombudsman Matjaz Hanzek is to present his 2001 annual report to President Milan Kucan.

WEDNESDAY, 17 July
LJUBLJANA - The defence committee of the Western European Union Assembly is to convene for a two-day meeting, discussing draft reports to be presented at the assembly's session in Paris in December. Special attention will be paid to the initiative to found a European military aviation museum in the Slovene city of Maribor. The committee is also to meet with Defence Minister Anton Grizold and Culture Minister Andreja Rihter.
LJUBLJANA - Bank of Slovenia is to hold a press conference to present the May balance of payments data.

THURSDAY, 18 July
SARAJEVO/BUTMIR/BLAZUJ - Slovene President Milan Kucan is to pay an official visit to Bosnia-Herzegovina. He is to meet with the BiH presidium, council of ministers and the high representative of the international community in BiH Paddy Ashdown. In Butmir the president is to visit Slovene units taking part in the SFOR and meet SFOR commander, General John Sylvester. Kucan is also scheduled to visit the plant of the Slovene home appliances maker Gorenje in Blazuj.
LISBON - Slovene Europe Minister Janez Potocnik is to visit Portugal as part of his tour of the EU.
LJUBLJANA - New judges are to be sworn in before Speaker of Parliament Borut Pahor.
LJUBLJANA - Regular weekly government session.

FRIDAY, 19 July
LJUBLJANA - The deadline to collect signatures for the preliminary referendum on temporary injunction of two largest banks privatisation runs out. The initiative has been given by the Slovene National Party and New Party.

SATURDAY, 20 July
SOENDERBORG - Slovene Environment Minister Janez Kopac is to attend a two-day informal meeting of EU and counterparts environment ministers in Denmark as part of the preparations for the world summit on permanent development to be held at the end of August in South Africa.
