Drnovsek Front-runner for Presidential Elections, Mag Poll Indicates

Ljubljana, 17 July - The regular monthly poll published by the political weekly Mag on Wednesday indicates that the current front-runner to take the presidency at the autumn elections is Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek, who received the backing of 26.1 percent of the respondents. The poll also shows that more people support NATO and EU membership than oppose it, while the government approval rating stood at 33.6 percent.
