Slovene Insurer Still in the Game for Purchase of Croatia Osiguranje, Croatian Daily Reports

Zagreb, 17 July - Zavarovalnica Triglav, Slovenia's largest insurer, still stands a chance of acquiring 51 percent of Croatia's leading insurance company Croatia Osiguranje, according to Tuesday's edition of Croatian daily Vjesnik. The paper claims that the investment firm CAIB, advisor to the Croatian government in the privatisation, has proposed that talks should continue with both remaining bidders, Triglav and German giant Allianz. Another big privatisation in Croatia, that of oil trader Ina, does not seem to be going so well for the Slovene bidder, as media reports indicate that Petrol has little chance of winning the bid.
