Striking Air Traffic Controllers and Gov't Far from a Solution, Flag Carrier Expects High Damages

Brnik/Ljubljana, 17 July - Slovene air traffic controllers started striking at 3 PM on Wednesday after they failed to find common ground with government negotiators on most of the open issues. Negotiations are to resume at 11 AM Thursday. Meanwhile, the flag carrier Adria Airways has rerouted flights from Ljubljana to Zagreb, and said that the strike could cause the company damages in excess of EUR 250,000 per day.
