Kucan's Visit to Sarajevo Nearly Canceled, Bosnian Press Reports

Sarajevo, 18 July - The Bosnian press reports on Thursday that the latest visit by Slovene President Milan Kucan to Bosnia-Herzegovina was nearly canceled due to a misunderstanding. The visit was officially confirmed by Slovenia late on on Wednesday only after some heated telephone calls between Ljubljana and Sarajevo, Dnevni Avaz reports in the Thursday edition. The reason quoted by the daily was that the government of the Croat-Muslim federation called on the Bosnian government to examine trade relations with Slovenia, which Ljubljana understood as an appeal to boycott Slovene goods.
