Slovene and Italian Police Arrest 17 Persons Involved in Drug Trafficking

Trieste, 18 July - Two criminal cartels trafficking in drugs were uncovered and 17 people arrested in Italy and Slovenia in a joint action of the Slovene and Italian police forces, the results of which were presented in Trieste on Thursday. The result of the one-year action is also 26 kg of seized heroin, several thousand pills of ecstasy, as well as some marijuana, weapons and explosives. Also taking part in the operation were Croatian, Yugoslav and Macedonian police.
