Council of Public TV Network Concerned about Financial State

Ljubljana, 18 July - The financial state of the Slovene public radio and TV network, RTVS, is reason for concern, the RTVS council established after reviewing on Thursday the business report for the first six months of 2002. The council thus urged the government to approve a five-percent increase in license fees. RTVS generated a loss of SIT 417m (EUR 1.8m) in the first half of this year.
