Belgian Ambassador: Lasko's Takeover Intent Doesn't Seem Realistic

Ljubljana, 19 July - Belgian Ambassador to Slovenia Georges Sami Godart does not think Interbrew can consider Pivovarna Lasko's intent to take over rival brewer as realistic as it disagrees with Slovene legislation on competition. The key issue at the moment is the future of Pivovarna Union, the ambassador told a Slovene business daily in response to the latest battle between Belgium's Interbrew and Slovenia's Lasko for the takeover of Pivovarna Union.
