National Identity not Threatened by EU and NATO Membership, Drnovsek Tells Strategic Council
Ljubljana, 19 July - Slovenia's integration into EU and NATO does not threaten the country's national identity, on the contrary, it is a factor for strengthening it, Slovene Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek told Friday's session of the government's strategic council for security issues, which focused on identity in a globalised society. Smaller countries can play a very important role in these organisations, he added.
