EU and NATO Memberships Do not Depend on Gov't, Says Economy Expert
Koper, 20 July - The "Achilles heel" of the current Slovene government is "selfabsorbtion and with it related neglect of the little people's needs," said economist Joze Mencinger in an interview for Saturday's edition of the Koper-based daily Primorske novice. He added that both Slovene priorities, EU and NATO accession, are only a little dependent on the government although the latter gives itself all the credit for them. According to Mencinger, the decisions on this "are made by the other side".
