PM Drnovsek Gives Interview to Dnevnik about His Presidential Candidacy

Ljubljana, 20 July - Slovene PM and Liberal Democracy (LDS) leader Janez Drnovsek explained for Saturday's edition of Dnevnik that his decision not to step down as prime minister until after the presidential elections has not been easy. He mainly decided so because of the "finish" Slovenia is in in EU negotiations. "We are almost at the end of EU negotiations and just about to be accepted to NATO. All will come down in November, and if anyone says that those are easy circumstances to make a decision I must argue against based on my own experience. The main thing is that the decision is right, even if you amend it a little in the mean time," replied Drnovsek to accusations that he changes his mind a lot.
