Slovenia Starts with Supplementary Budget Today
Ljubljana, 20 July - The 2002 supplementary budget, cutting back SIT 14.4bn (EUR 64m), came into effect on Saturday, after being adopted by the parliament on 11 July. The supplementary budget also ensures additional SIT 10bn (EUR 44m) of non-tax income and an automatic fiscal stabilizer of SIT 14.3bn (EUR 63.3m), which means that the state would incur additional debts of SIT 14.3bn and thus increase the deficit of the current budget year from SIT 49.6bn (EUR 220m) to SIT 63.9bn (EUR 283m) or 1.3 percent GDP.
