President Kucan to Write to PM Drnovsek over LB Issue
Maribor, 23 July - President Milan Kucan has decided to address a letter to Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek regarding the issue of foreign-exchange savings deposits in the former Sarajevo subsidiary of the Slovene bank Ljubljanska banka (LB) which the holders claim back, according to a report published in the Tuesday edition of Vecer. The Maribor-based daily observes that Kucan has not responded to a statement by the Foreign Ministry which said that the issue could not be discussed by the Slovene and Bosnian governments as proposed by the president.
