Footwear Maker Planika to Shed 150 Workers

Kranj, 23 July - Slovene shoe maker Planika, which currently employs 1,190 workers, is to shed 150 employees after the summer. Manager Milan Bajzelj explained that the company opted for such measures - temporary, in his words - because certain sections of the production line cannot be produced in Slovenia any longer due to low competitiveness.
