Interbrew's Bid for Union Successful Right Away
Ljubljana/Laško, 24 July - Belgian brewer Interbrew acquired 55 shares or 0.01 percent of Slovene brewer Pivovarna Union by the end of Tuesday, which is five shares more than enough to declare its bid - published yesterday for 266,510 out of all 451,114 Union shares at SIT 90,000 (EUR 397) a share - successful, said Interbrew in Wednesday's press release. Interbrew's offer runs out on 20 August, while the Belgian buyer now holds 184,659 shares in Union.
