Austrian Ambassador Examines Nuclear Safety in Slovenia
Krško, 24 July - Austrian Ambassador to Slovenia Ferdinand Mayrhofer-Gruenbuehel visited the Krsko Nuclear Power Plant (NEK) on Wednesday to inspect the network of earthquake observatories around the N-plant. According to the ambassador, the Austrians are well aware of the fact that the plant was built to nuclear safety standards of the West. However, their concerns over its safety stems from the fact that the plant is located in an area of considerable seismic activity.
