Pivovarna Lasko Publishes Takeover Bid for Pivovarna Union Ahead of Union AGM

Ljubljana, 25 July - Leading Slovene brewer Pivovarna Lasko published a takeover bid for the second largest Slovene brewer in Thursday's edition of daily Delo. Lasko, which already owns 46.2 percent of Pivovarna Union, offered to buy the remaining 242,780 Union shares at SIT 91,000 (EUR 401) a share, which is SIT 1,000 (EUR 4.4) more than what its Belgian takeover rival Interbrew offered in its bid on Tuesday.
