Slovenia and EU Agree on New Quotas for Agricultural Products Imports/Exports

Ljubljana, 25 July - Slovenia successfully finished the negotiations of further liberalisation of trade with agricultural products with the EU and initialed a document on the matter on Thursday, said the Slovene Agriculture Ministry. In practice Slovene exports will be liberalised by 90 percent and imports from the EU by 75 percent, explained the ministry, adding that the agreement should be signed by the end of 2002 and implemented on 1 January 2003.
