Gov't Steps on Toes of Slovene Alcohol Abusers
Ljubljana, 25 July - The government adopted a bill on limiting the consumption of alcohol at Thursday's session and is to send it on to the parliament for adoption, State Secretary at the Health Ministry Simon Vrhunec told a press conference following the session. According to him, the consumption of pure alcohol per capita ranks Slovenia at the top of the world, while harmful consequences of alcohol abuse are one of Slovenia's major health issues.
