Bosnia to Take Issue of Overdue Bank Deposits to Council of Europe

Sarajevo, 26 July - As the government of Bosnia-Herzegovina considers the BIS-sponsored succession talks on former Yugoslavia unlikely to bring about an acceptable compromise on the return of the foreign currency deposits held by Bosnian citizens in Slovenia- and FRY-based banks, Bosnia intends to intensify its efforts to shift the debate on this issue to the Council of Europe.
