Presidential Candidate Brezigar Supports NATO and EU Membership

Ljubljana, 27 July - Independent candidate at the autumn presidential elections, Barbara Brezigar told Saturday's edition of Delo that she agrees with Slovenia's NATO accession, not least "because NATO invests heavily into knowledge, environment protection, clean waters and intervenes in humanitarian disasters". Slovenia not becoming a NATO member would run contrary to the country's development, she told the daily.
