State to Continue to Support Textile and Leather Industry
Ljubljana, 27 July - Slovenia's textile and leather industry has been battling with losses and bankruptcies for a long time, although the Economics Ministry has said that the trend has reversed in 1998. The reversal is largely a result of state incentives, as companies in the industry have been allocated some SIT 3.5bn (EUR 15.4m) of state subsidies and aids as part of preparations for the EU's internal market and from horizontal programmes.
